Remember Roseanne Barr? Well, she’s found work on liberal talk radio network Air America,
and suggested that leftists should ignite riots at the Democratic
convention in Denver to “resist a two-party system that allows
imperialism and racism to continue unrestrained.”

Following her April 28 rant, only Fox News Channel and the local
Denver media thought it newsworthy. None of the other major
outlets gave it a glance…

Until Rush Limbaugh humorously suggested that riots in Denver
would wake up America. Suddenly, it’s news, to the point that
Senator Ken Salazar sent an angry letter to Clear Channel
radio asking Rush to be “reprimanded” for talking up violence.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann also piled on Rush
suggesting he be prosecuted for incitement to riot! Any mention
of Roseanne? Of course not!

Three years ago, Abdullah Saleh al-Ajmi, a Kuwaiti soldier who deserted to fight in Afghanistan alongside the Taliban, sat in a detention cell at the U.S. naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, while lawyers argued whether he was an “enemy combatant.”

A grinning and blushing Prince Harry was given a medal for his service in Afghanistan on Monday by his aunt, Princess Anne.

The young red-haired royal struggled to contain a smile as the princess pinned the Operational Service Medal for Afghanistan to his desert fatigues in a ceremony at the Combermere Barracks in Windsor, west of London.

Muslim rebels drove off more than 1,000 Christians from a southern Philippine farming village and took over their land, the guerillas and a mayor said Friday.

Armed members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) entered the coastal village of Sangay in the town of Kalamansig on the troubled island of Mindanao Wednesday to demand food and rice recently harvested by the farmers, Kalamansig Mayor Rolando Garcia said, according to The Associated Press.

In the past, the armed rebels have demanded food and stayed only briefly in the village, but this time they told villagers to leave and occupied the land. Faced with about 300 armed MILF guerillas, the scared residents fled to Kalamansig town about three hours away by boat while the rebels remained in the village.
